A stone path between deep borders of grasses and perennials, leading to a brick house.

The brief

A narrow town garden that felt like a corridor, and should feel generous without losing any space.

What we did

We set the path on a slight diagonal and planted deep on both sides. Repeated drifts of grass lead the eye and make the plot feel wider than it is.

Tall, see-through plants sit at the front, so the garden reveals itself one step at a time.
