The brief
A shaded courtyard for one chair, morning coffee and something green to look at from the kitchen.
What we did
At 48 m², every step counts. We lifted half the paving, kept the good Yorkstone and planted the gaps with forest grass and ferns that like the cool walls.
Large pots carry the height. A single multi-stem tree filters the light without taking the room.
